The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated here Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day. The support issue made for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
